Welcome to the Laboratory for Biological Mass Spectrometry

The Laboratory for Biological Mass Spectrometry is located in Simon Hall 115. The focus of the lab is on proteomics, with additional interest in metabolomics. Major instrumentation in the lab includes an Orbitrap Fusion Lumos, a Synapt G2S HDMS, a Synapt G2 HDMS, an LTQ Velos Pro and a QTRAP 4000.

The Laboratory specializes in the characterization of protein post-translational modifications (PTMs), including glycosylation, phosphorylation, acetylation and persulfidation (S-sulfhydration). We also have an emphasis on identification of protein-interactions (including determination of protein-protein crosslinks) and quantitative comparisons of complex samples.
